Sustainabiity

Sustainability at Seurare

Seurare doesn’t claim to be a fully sustainable brand — we’re still early in our journey. But every decision we make is guided by the 6Rs of circularity:

Refuse. Rethink. Reduce. Reuse. Repurpose. Recycle.

Environmental Impact

We design and produce responsibly — focusing on materials, packaging, and production models that minimize waste and energy use.

  • Recycled stainless steel: Durable, rust-resistant, and sourced from recyclable materials that meet RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) certification. Currently using 100% 316L Stainless Steel as our main material for all our jewelry products.

  • Eco-conscious packaging:

    • Biodegradable mailers

    • Reusable organic cotton pouches

    • Minimalist, recyclable paper packaging

  • Limited production: By releasing only three to five designs every four months, we reduce overproduction and keep waste minimal.

  • Product lifespan: Our pieces are waterproof, sweatproof, and fade-resistant, designed to last for years — not seasons.

We draw inspiration from the 6Rs of Sustainability:

  • Refuse fast fashion trends that fuel overconsumption.

  • Rethink jewelry as timeless, not seasonal.

  • Reduce waste through small-batch production and recycled stainless steel.

  • Reuse cotton pouches to store or protect your pieces.

  • Repurpose jewelry for new styles — we share tips on social media to inspire creativity.

  • Recycle or compost our biodegradable mailers and cards after use.

Social Impact

Our commitment extends beyond materials — it’s about people.

Seurare partners with factories certified by ISO9001, Sedex, and BSCI, ensuring safe working conditions, ethical labour practices, and transparency across our supply chain.

We also align with the UN Global Compact’s social responsibility principles, supporting fair treatment, diversity, and equity in every aspect of our business.

Our mission is to nurture a culture of care, creativity, and inclusivity — from the people who craft our jewelry to the communities who wear it.

Economic Impact

Seurare operates exclusively online to minimize overhead and reduce waste. This model allows us to:

  • Offer transparent pricing that reflects craftsmanship and ethical sourcing.

  • Support local creative talent in Hamilton and Toronto through design collaborations and storytelling initiatives.

  • Invest in innovation, with a vision to explore recycling our products and localized supply chains in Canada within the next decade.

By slowing down production, we create space for intentional growth — economically and ethically.
